CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Be punctual for school
  • Always be neatly dressed for school.
  • The school uniform for BOYS comprises of grey pants, white shirt, royal blue jersey, grey socks and black school shoes or school tracksuit, GIRLS wear the school uniform or white blouse with royal blue skirt, blue jersey and black school shoes, white socks or school tracksuit.
  • No takkies are allowed.
  • Boys should see to it that their hair is short and tidy.
  • No dyed hair will be permitted.
  • No jewellery is allowed.
  • Rights and customs of all religions will be respected.
  • Always be courteous and helpful towards educators and fellow learners.
  • Bring the necessary stationary to school every day.
  • Be organized and well behaved within the classroom.
  • Attend school on a regular basis.
  • Homework must be done regularly.
  • Have respect for educators and fellow learners.
  • Do not disrupt or disturb learners while they are busy.
  • Do not disrupt the lesson by unruly behaviour.
  • No playing or fighting within the classroom will be permitted.
  • No chewing of bubble-gum is allowed on the school premises or in the classroom
  • No knives, weapons or any other sharp objects are allowed on the school premises.
  • No learners will be allowed to be in a classroom without permission or supervision of an educator.

CODE OF CONDUCT: EDUCATORS TOWARDS EDUCATORS:

  • It is virtually important for every institution to have a set of rules and regulations. Without these there will not be any discipline.
  • These rules have to appeal to us and bring us to accountability and responsibility.
  • Our conduct must be of such a nature as not to cause diskuption in the harmonious running of the school.
  • All educators are in some or other way part of the management of the school and the term “management” as such should not be seen as a separate entity from teaching staff.
  • If an educator is absent from school for one day only, it remains his/her responsibility to inform the principal by phoning him timeously. A list of parents with telephone numbers should also be available to the principal in order to make an appointment in the educator’s absence.
  • In the case of formal vacation or sick leave the principal should also be supplied with work.
  • Be punctual as far as possible. In the event of arriving late for school, report to the responsible manager and give your apology. Remember that the punctuality of the educator sets an example to the learner.
  • Always be courteous towards the principal, colleagues as it sets an example to the learners
  • Be loyal towards the principal, school, colleagues, parents and learners.
  • Be loyal towards the principal, school, colleagues and above all, yourself.

CODE OF CONDUCT EDUCATORS TOWARDS LEARNERS:

  • Always strive to act in a responsible manner when interacting with the learners.
  • Take full responsibility for your actions.
  • Give positive feedback and rewards to a learner when it is due.

CODE OF CONDUCT EDUCATORS TOWARDS PARENTS:

  • Build up a positive relationship with the parents.
  • Be confidential and do not discuss other learners, parents or colleagues with parents.
  • Keep parents informed at all times with regard to their child’s progress and behaviour.
  • All interviews or interaction with parents should, as far as possible, take place after 14h00.
